Sandy Joosun Lee

Sandy Joosun Lee is the translator of Won-pyung Sohn’s Almond (HarperVia, 2020). She received translation grants from LTI Korea and the Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea. She currently works at an animation studio where she translates and develops animated content.
Sean Lin Halbert

Sean Lin Halbert received his BA in Korean language from the University of Washington in 2016 and his MA in modern Korean literature from Seoul National University in 2019. He is a recipient of the 2018 GKL Translation Award, the 2018 LTI Korea Award for Aspiring Translators, and the 2018 Korea Times Modern Korean Literature Translation Award. His translation of Yun Ko Eun’s short story “The Chef’s Nail” appeared in Azalea. Kim Un-su’s novel The Cabinet is his first published book in translation. He currently lives in Seoul working as a full-time translator.

Seong-Kon Kim

Seong-Kon Kim is a translator, literary critic, columnist, editor, and writer. He is also a professor emeritus at Seoul National University. Educated at Columbia and SUNY/Buffalo, Kim was awarded an honorary doctorate in humane letters from the State University of New York in 2017. He has taught at Penn State and UC Berkeley and conducted research at Harvard and Oxford. Kim has received the CU Distinguished Alumnus Award, the Fulbright Distinguished Alumnus Awa r d , a n d t h e S U N Y / B u f fa l o International Distinguished Alumni Award. His translations of Korean literature include The Square, Woman on the Terrace, and Strong Winds at Mishi Pass.
Seth Chandler

Seth Chandler is currently studying modern poetry in the Korean literature department at Seoul National University. Together with Jinah Kim, he was awarded the 45th Korea Times Modern Korean Literature Translation Award grand prize for their translation of Kim Soom’s short story “On Slowness.”
Seth Chandler

Seth Chandler is a literary and academic translator. He received his master’s degree in modern Korean poetry from Seoul National University and studied translation at the LTI Korea Translation Academy. His work has appeared in Azalea, Korean Literature Now, chogwa zine, and elsewhere.
