About

  1. About

Korean Literature Now (or KLN for short) is a quarterly published by LTI Korea with the objective to help readers around the world to experience and appreciate Korean literature content. Launched as _list: Books from Korea in 2008, the magazine was relaunched in its current form in the summer of 2016 (issue no. 32). KLN is currently distributed to around 5,500 universities, libraries, cultural and art institutions, and the general public in about 125 countries.

Reading a country’s literature is one of the best ways to gain insight into its culture, struggles, and realities. Korean Literature Now is the world’s only English-language quarterly that brings you the best of contemporary Korean fiction, poetry, interviews, reviews, essays, and engaging digital content in the form of audiobooks, video interviews, book readings, and much more. Become better acquainted with Korea and its literature through KLN.

Korean Literature Now is an excellent publication, beautifully produced and full of fascinating articles. It is a must-read for anyone interested in Korean Literature, and literature in translation more widely.

- Max PorterEditorial Director Granta Books

Korean Literature Now is a beautiful reincarnation of _list: Books from Korea. Frankly, I was a bit apprehensive of the announced change, for I was a great admirer of the _list. However, it took me no time to feel comfortable with the re-imagined appearance and contents of the magazine. It certainly lives up to international standards in every aspect. Congratulations!

- Young-Key Kim-RenaudProfessor Emeritus George Washington University

LTI Korea has been out there in the world of international publishing and reading for almost a decade. Korean Literature Now gives us the news about Korean writers and their works, this generation, the now gen, as well as the longer-established yet no less notable Korean authors whose works inspire and challenge us. In the magazine's pages, across a range of languages and cultures, translators, publishers, agents, and international gatherings, we follow Korean literature out into the world now.
